Apple Picking!

Today we took Charlotte apple picking, it was a gorgeous day, although a bit colder than I had thought. We went to place in NH. It was perfect and so much fun. Charlotte was fascinated by all the apple trees and of course the pumpkin patch! She is just babbling away lately, MaMaMa is her latest, which of course makes me so happy, even though she has no idea what she is saying!!

8 Months old

Can you believe it? Charlotte continues to grow and is such a superstar baby. She is so fun and her personality has really stated to come out. She is so happy and loves to be around people, especially kids. She is starting to pull herself up on anything and everything and gets up on all fours and rocks, but doesn't quite know what to do next. I think she'll be crawling really soon! No teeth, although I really feel like its going to happen anyday, then again, I have been saying that for months!

She is getting a bit more hair, which looks different everyday, really light somedays and dark others, depending on the lighting. And yup, she is still spitting up, which probably won't clear up until she is is 12 months old!

Charlotte wanted to wish Auntie Denise a Happy Birthday today!!! And of course GOOO Red Sox!!!

(9 weeks)
Today I hosted a brunch for the Mommy & Me group I used to go to when Charlotte was 3 weeks old. We hadn't seen each other since the babies were 12 weeks old. It was so great to see everyone and how they have all changed. It was a bit difficult trying to get them all to cooperate to take pictures at they are all on the move! It's really interesting to watch them interact (they are all within 2 weeks of each other, Charlotte surprisingly being on the younger side, but probably the biggest of them all in size!!) Charlotte was a star and they all said what a great baby she is, considering they saw first hand how difficult she was those first few months. Seems like forever a go, she is just such a good girl now! Sooo happy!
This afternoon we had Laurie & Jon's son Leo's Baptism. It was quite a party! Charlotte had a ball watching all the kids and with the balloons!

Avocado

"Let's Get Physical!"

So tonight we tried Avocado for the first time. Cory and I were hysterical watching her eat it. As you can see, not a fan AT ALL!!!! Although she did not enjoy it, she kept opening her mouth for more!

The last picture, I just had to post. I personally HATE those headbands, but we got one with an outfit so I just put it on her for a laugh.

Happy Anniversary!!!!

Today Cory and I celebrate our 6th anniversary. It's crazy how fast it has gone by. I am so lucky to be his wife, he is such an incredible man and father. I fall more in love with him each day. People told me after we had Charlotte that my relationship with Cory would change, it would never be the same as before, and it has changed, but for the better. We are closer now than ever before and we have this amazing daughter to share our love with. Cory and I have such a unique, special relationship which I think is so incredibly rare these days, true love is so hard to find. We have such tremendous love and respect for each other. I found my soulmate and best friend. I love you Cory !

7 months!!

Standing all by myself and so proud!!

Today, Charlotte turned 7 months, which doesn't seem possible. She amazes us more and more each day.

She is such a joy! No teeth yet, no crawling, although she loves to inch worm her way around. And she walks if we hold her hands. And yes, she is still spitting up!!!

Playing with Cayden

Maine BFF Sophie

This weekend Cory was in a golf tournament in Maine with his good friend Andy from UMaine on Friday and Saturday, so I spent Friday with his wife Anne and their children Cayden and Sophie who are just too cute! We had such a nice day just spending time together and hanging out at Andy's parents pool, which is next door. Charlotte just loved playing with Cayden and hanging with her Maine BFF. Andy, Anne, Cory and I went out for a nice dinner on Friday night after the tournament, while Andy's parents watched the kids (thanks Mr. and Mrs. Smith!!). It was so great to have some adult time with Andy and Anne! We wish that we lived closer to them.

Before heading to Meme's on Saturday Charlotte got to spend a little time with her favorvite babysitter Christa (who is Andy's sister and we are still hoping will quit her job to take care of Charlotte full time!) Chartlotte just adores Christa!

We then headed to Meme's for the rest of our visit in Manie. We had a lovely day Sat hanging out by the pool and relaxing. And Sunday we celebrated Meme's 82nd birthday with her children, grandchildren (one great grandchild) and two of her sisters. It was a very special day for her and everyone had such a nice time. I do loving spending time with Meme, she reminds me so much of my grandmother who passed away when I was 12 and whom I was very close with. Meme holds such a special place in Cory's heart and I love to hear him tell me stories of spending summers in the pool at her house. She is an amazing woman, an inspiration to us all.

I started this blog to keep people updated on Charlotte's world, but as I write new posts about our adventures, it makes me reflect on our life and I can't help but get sentimental when I think about the amazing friends and family we have. Although we don't get to see some of our close friends that often, we are so lucky to have so many wonderful people in our lives. In a perfect world we would all live in the same neighborhood! It's amazing how having a child can make you see things in a new light and appreciate each day. Life is good.
